This is what we (John, Devon, and Adam) came up with at PTBO Game Jam 04. This was the first game jam for all of us, and it was a lot of fun. Will definitely be attending the next event. 

Move with the arrow keys, point and click to aim and shoot, and defend your gold. The controls might be a bit buggy.
